Physiotherapy, or Physical Therapy, is healthcare that provides improved quality of life through pain relief and movement. Physiotherapy at Pursuit looks different than a traditional physical therapy clinic. You will always receive one-on-one care, you will always see the same provider. Thorough and efficient evaluations lead to thorough and efficient treatments.

The main techniques she customizes her treatments with are:

- Dry Needling: the use of non-medicated needles and electrical stimulation to improve tissue mobility and reduce pain

- Spinal Manipulation and Mobilization: Techniques to improve joint mobility and reduce pain.

- Manual Therapy: Hands on techniques like cupping and soft tissue work, including joint mobilization of the upper and lower extremities.

- Exercise Prescription: Movement tailored specifically for your mobility, strength, and flexibility needs in order to return to sport or activity.

Once your evaluation has been completed, Dr. Lineberger will discuss a treatment plan and timeline with you and help set up a schedule for attacking your symptoms to get you back to the life you desire.

Gait Analysis

Comprehensive analysis of gait mechanics and an exam of the musculoskeletal system. The exam will include assessments of range of motion, strength, and functional movements, as well as strategies to help improve your running performance and decrease incidence of injury.

Not your average "massage" - and you'll feel the difference fast. Erica's focus with every appointment is to listen intently, assess thoroughly, and address efficiently with high-quality care and precise, goal-driven, neuroscience-based manual therapy & advanced bodywork. Her goal is to give you real relief and quicker results by addressing the nervous system first. This session integrates seamlessly between PT visits to reinforce your treatment plan.

Exact session lengths always vary, depending on which techniques we decide on, your goals for the session, and your body’s response to treatment. You never have to choose a specific technique, tool, or bodywork modality, but if you ever want something specific, let us know! We meet your body where it is that day and choose the most effective treatments to help your body and brain reconnect, regulate, recover and reset.

For goals like performance optimization, soreness relief, workout recovery, injury prevention, or general maintenance, we may include RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (Erica's specialty) and/or a combination of advanced sports massage, myofascial work, trigger point, cupping, IASTM, PNF stretching, vibration/percussion therapy, or heat – no upcharges, ever!

For addressing issues like chronic or acute pain, instability, trauma holding, core dysfunction, pelvic floor issues, imbalance, chronic stress, fatigue, and performance limitations, RAPID is commonly a core part of treatment, and other modalities may be included as needed. Patients often report a noticeable shift even in their first visit!

RAPID NeuroFascial Reset (RAPID) is an innovative, specialized treatment that directly targets the nervous system and any protective brain-body "hold patterns" by using precise pressure with your active movement. It works to help the brain and body reconnect & recognize safety again, resulting in a quick release of tension and restrictions in muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and nerves, encouraging your body to feel good, move freely, and function well.

It also encourages expedited healing and helping with pain from injury, from repetitive motion & sports injuries, to concussions and whiplash, to sprains, strains, tears, and even breaks. *Note: only the soft tissue around (never directly on) the point of injury will be treated until healed or approved by a doctor.*

Please note: Certain techniques are highly stimulating to the nervous system, and sometimes intense -we’ll always stay within your tolerance levels-, and yes -- that's why they work! Too much neurological input, though, can put your nervous system into fatigue (not a fun time- basically you'll feel super 'ugh' and it can actually hinder your results). We stop when your nervous system’s had enough input, not when a timer buzzes.

What to Wear:
Unlike traditional massage, you may stay clothed and/or move around during your appointment. Bring or wear non-restrictive clothing and layers. Some techniques are performed over clothing i.e. RAPID-NFR, vibration/percussion, etc. Other techniques require skin contact i.e. cupping, fascia scraping, myofascial work, and you may be asked to partially undress (shorts rolled up; shirt off for men; down to sports bra for women) or fully undress down to your comfort level. Should you undress at all, care is taken to make sure you are modestly covered at all times.
